What are the costs?

The Vibe 3on3 is free to register.

How do we register?

You can download and complete the Vibe 3on3 registration form at http://www.vibe.com.au/images/pdfs/3on3-registration.pdf and fax it back to us on 02 9361 5850.

Can we register on the day?

The Vibe 3on3 is a pre-registered event, closing the week before the scheduled event day.
We require teams to pre-register so we can structure the days’ events according to how many people are attending and to complete the basketball draw.

Can I submit an incomplete registration form?

We only accept registration forms that are correctly completed.

Can I register mixed teams?

No, you cannot enter mixed teams in the Vibe 3on3. To make the competition fair and safe, we only have boys playing basketball against boys and girls playing against girls. For this reason, we only accept registrations that are all girl or all boy teams.

Can I send in a table of my teams with the registration form?

No. We ask that teachers please complete one copy of the first page of the registration form (with school contact details) and multiple copies of the second page (listing each team. i.e. one page for each team that your school is entering).

Will the teams be competing in all activities?

At the 3on3, there are 4 rounds that students compete in for points. Two of these rounds will be basketball with the other two rounds being activities. The activities that students may be scheduled to participate in include art workshops, dance/break workshops, health expo/indigenous games workshops or a rap workshop. Not all students will compete in all activities and this will depend on the number of teams registered in the various agegroups.

Can I enter my whole school?

Given that the event is capped at 300 students to ensure a positive engaging experience for each child and to be fair to all schools, we limit the total amount of students any one school can register. This is to ensure that many schools from across each community can participate in the 3on3.

What do teachers need to bring?

Teachers will need to bring:

  • Medical forms for kids they are supervising
  • Signed media forms
  • Copy of teams entered for marshalling purposes

Can I get travel assistance?

Schools should consult with their principals to arrange transport to and from the Vibe 3on3. Vibe offers travel assistance to the value of $200 for schools who bring 20 kids or more. Speak with the 3on3 School Liaison Manager, Sarah at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  or call 1800 623 430 for more information.

What about lunch?

The Vibe 3on3 includes a free healthy BBQ lunch for all participants and teachers at the Vibe 3on3.  We also provide fruit and water to keep your energy up throughout the day.

Can we bring our own food?

Yes, students are welcome to bring their own lunch and snacks.

What time does the Vibe 3on3 start?

We open registration and our free breakfast club at 8.30am and ask that all teams arrive and register before 9.30am, when the opening ceremony will commence.

What time does the festival finish?

The closing ceremony will conclude at approximately 2pm to allow teams’ time to catch their transport back to school by the close of the school day. If teams leave earlier than 2pm, the will miss the closing ceremony and potentially not be there to collect a prize so we ask that all teams stay until 2pm. Please let us know at registration if you must leave earlier than 2pm.
