A descendant of the Gangulu people of central Queensland, his career has included lengthy service to the now defunct Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission, as its WA state manager and later as its final national chief executive.

      <description><![CDATA[In the last of our summer programs, Rhoda talks to Yabu Band manager and drummer Jade Masters.  In 2009, the Yabu Band picked up numerous awards to cap off the year as WA’s favourite Indigenous band.  As well as touring extensively across Western Australia, the band also released and album titled Gundilla We Dance, featuring great tracks such as Nyoongar Music and a cover of the classic I am Australian sung in Aboriginal language.]]></description>
